Nutritionist in Westchester, NY
My ‘not –so-secret’ weapon to fight any and all aches, pains, illness and dis-ease is:
NUTRITION
Since 1983, I have treated tens of thousands of patients with literally hundreds of conditions from A-Z as they say; with thank GOD, miraculous, types of results! And why is that, you ask?
#1- Because the LORD GOD has put truly miraculous healing- regenerative- restorative properties into all the foods HE made and blessed, for our benefit, no doubt!
#2- My deep study in Nutrition, has uncovered the hidden patterns clinically proven in practice, that have yielded time- tested powerful positive results.
So, how to start, easy at first, I recommend the:
1. Basic Program
A. The First Step:
At Healthworld, we create a simple and easy-to-follow first step that is an important and critical first step towards rebuilding a new and re-vitalized body, from the inside out!
During your initial consultation, a detailed and careful analysis is ascertained. Your food cravings, habits, eating patterns, emotions and family history are all meticulously scrutinized. It is then compiled and prepared in an easy to follow program, individually tailored to you, of course.
Harmful foods and liquids that are causing cellular micro trauma and damage are lessened and eventually eliminated, and this is carefully structured as your body tolerates this progressive restoration process.
Usually, within 4-8 weeks of the first step program, you will be ready for:
B. The Second Step:
This is where we modulate the balance of fresh, raw foods and liquids to gradually rebuild and re-vitalize each and every cell of your body. Typically, pharmaceutical-GMP-grade of nutritional supplementation is also introduced, in this second step, where it is meticulously integrated to balance and enhance your new recommended food/ liquid progressive/ restoration process.
Your body will feel more energetic, more vitality, and the feeling of a new you, being rebuilt, cell by cell, is extraordinary!
Look carefully at all the great and delicious power-packed natural healthy foods on Dr. Young’s desk! These are the types of fresh, raw natural foods that will help to progressively restore and rebuild your body, finally, better than ever before!
Then we progressively move into the:
2. Detailed Programs
A. The Third Step
As we move continuously forward to progressively restore your body’s new re-vitalized health, the program’s third step is much more detailed and much more precise, as well.
In this third step, typically integrated are short, raw fruit/vegetable/water – 1, 2 and 3 day fasts, metabolic shift programs and also re-shifting the nutritional intake, often completely, every 4 weeks. This will help avoid becoming bored, and also helps the body to keep re-shifting the metabolic production level, to higher and more efficient levels.
This third step, has for decades, in thousands of cases, produced amazing new levels of vibrant and excellent health, much to the delight of all who follow the steps properly…
This is a small portion of Dr. Young’s powerful and natural arsenal of weapons against dis-ease and illness- They are absolutely terrific and your body will love them too!

A. Healthworld’s - ‘The 12 principles of health' - represents a new cornerstone in creating a solid foundation in your progressive restoration to a new and healthy you!
The 12 Principles of Health
1. Eat and Drink all of your Fruits and Vegetables, Fresh and Raw. 2. Chew each biteful of food until liquefied prior to swallowing. 3. Drink 2-3 quarts of water daily, between meals (never during). 4. Use fruits, nuts and seeds as small healthy snacks 2-3 times per day. 5. Lunch is the largest meal of the day, with breakfast and dinner never exceeding 50% of the total caloric daily intake, together. 6. As a general rule, take all your vitamins, minerals and or enzymes just after your first biteful of food during any of your regular meals. 7. Do not eat within 4 hours prior to bedtime! 8. Do not drink any other liquid (i.e. soups, shakes, juices…) except water within 2 hours prior to bedtime! 9. Eat all your food as close to its natural source and unadulterated status as possible. 10. Should you get any of your fruits, vegetables and proteins packaged, it is preferable that they be freshly frozen and where it pertains, avoid the ‘from concentrate’ variety of items. 11. ‘Eat, Drink and be Merry’ truly means, as a principle that you should have a balanced, calm and joyful emotional attitude and environment while you are eating and drinking, each and every time. 12. Never ever eat until you are full or stuffed, as some would say-‘rather only eat until you are comfortable and content. |
B. Acid/ Alkaline Food category chart - used by Doctor’s the world over to lessen the body’s aches, pains and dis-eases.
The Food Chart
It is important to understand that we are not talking about stomach acid or the ph of the stomach. We are talking about the pH of the body’s fluids and tissues which is an entirely different matter.

Note that a food’s acid or alkaline- forming tendency in the body has nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself. For example, lemons are very acidic; however the end- products they produce after indigestion and assimilation are very alkaline so lemons are alkaline- forming in the body. Likewise, meat will test alkaline before digestion but it leaves very acidic residue in the body so, like nearly all animal products, meat is very acid forming. Know that ALL unfired (unchanged by cooking i.e. heat and microwave), living and unprocessed vegetables and fruits are alkaline- forming. Most, it not all, processed and COOKED and fried foods are acid forming. All dairy products, meat, fish, poultry, sweets (except raw honey) and unsprouted flour products are acid- forming. One of the best reasons for being a vegetarian is that you consume no acid- forming foods. Acidity is the fertile soil for parasites and degenerative diseases. Note: Should you eat any acid foods in any of the three acid categories (i.e.- lowest acid- acid- most acid) try to eat at least 1-2 servings of the similar category of alkaline foods to try to counter balance the meals pH levels. |
C. Nature's Natural Medicine Chest - Nature’s ‘Natural Medicine’ Chest- An amazing revelation as to the extraordinary biochemistry and natural power latent within all natural food the good LORD has provided to all his children.

Plant-derived chemicals, many of which are beneficial to human health and disease prevention, represent a rapidly expanding area of nutrition. Around 4, 000 have been identified, of which approximately 150 have been studied. As nutritional therapeutics continue to evolve, it is likely that phytochemicals will play an increasing role in nutritional therapeutics. The following is an updated version of a chart I compiled a few years ago. | ||
Plant Biochemistry Nomenclature | Food Sources | Effects |
Allyl sulfides | Garlic, onions | May reduce the risk of stomach and colon cancer. Increases glutathione production. Limits phase I enzyme production. (Phase I byproducts are quite reactive.) Retains activity after cooking. |
Alpha carotene | Carrots, pumpkins | An antioxidant with powerful apparent anticarcinogenic properties. |
Beta cryptoxanthin | Oranges, tangerines, papaya | A carotenoid with antioxidant properties. |
Brassinin | Cabbage | Has antioxidant properties that, in animal studies, may reduce tumors in the breasts |
Caffeic acid | Apples | Neutralizes free radicals. |
Capsaicin | Hot peppers | An antioxidant, particularly adept at protecting DNA. Blocks nitrosamine formation. Kills helicobacter pylori (a cause of ulcers). Used topically to promote the release of substance P, which results in pain reduction. |
Chlorogenic acid | Tomatoes, bell peppers, pineapple, strawberries | May help to block nitrosamine formation during digestion. (Nitrosamine is a powerful carcinogen). |
D-Carvone | Caraway seeds | A monoterpene with apparent anticarcinogenic Properties). |
Diadzein | Soybeans | An isoflavone that may reduce hot flashes and osteoporosis. Also reduces alcohol consumption in dependent animals. Its synthetic metabolite is ipriflavone. |
Dithiolthiones | Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables | An antioxidant that specifically stimulates enzymes in the glutathione family (powerful free radical scavengers). |
Ellagic acid | Grapes, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, nuts | An antioxidant adept at protecting DNA. It remains active after freezing or cooking. |
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) | Green tea | EGCG is a polyphenol that, in animal and in vitro studies, may help inhibit bladder, breast, colon, liver, leukemic, ovarian, pancreatic, skin and stomach cancers. It may also reduce cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and LDL oxidation. It also has antiviral, antimicrobic, and powerful antioxidant effects against multiple species of free radicals. It increases fat burning in humans beyond what would be expected by the caffeine it contains. It has also been shown to apparently increase the concentration of chemotherapeutic drugs in cancer cells and can’t protect the surrounding healthy tissue. More studies are greatly anticipated. |
Genistein | Soybeans | An isoflavone that inhibits angiogenesis, increases endogenous production of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione, and catalase. It has weak estrogenic activity that allows it to bind on sites reserved for estrogens. |
Indole 3 (I3C) | Cruciferous vegetables | Modulates estrogen metabolism by increasing the ratio of 2-hydroxyestrone (a cancer protector) to 16-hydroxyesterone (a cancer promoter). |
Isoflavones | Soybeans | Binds with receptors reserved for estrogen. Standard isoflavone preparations contain approximately 50 percent genistein, 38 percent diadzin and 12 percent glycitin.moter) https://pharm..acheter-cialis/. |
Limonene | Citrus fruit | A monoterpene that up-regulates enzymes required to possibly help to remove carcinogens from inside cell membranes. |
Lutein | Corn, kiwi, zucchini, squash, yellow, squash, butternut, squash, celery, cumcumbers, grapes, peas, egg yolk | A carotenoid that may prevent age-related macular degeneration and cataract formation by acting as an intraretinal antioxidant. |
Lycopene | Tomato products (sauce, paste, catsup), juice, watermelon, guava, pink grapefruit | A carotenoid that, in vitro, was found to be twice as powerful an antioxidant as beta-carotene and may be especially beneficial in reducing prostate, lung and stomach cancer. Quite stable and is in a much higher concentration in tomato products. Its potency is not affected by cooking or freezing. |
Monoterpenes | Broccoli, cucumber, cabbage, carrots, squash, yams, eggplant | May reduce cholesterol and lowers the risk of breast, skin, liver, pancreatic, lung, and stomach cancers. |
Oltipraz | Cabbage and other cruciferous vegetables | An antioxidant that stimulates glutathione production and can protect liver cells from alfatoxins. |
P-coumaric acid | Tomatoes, bell peppers, pineapple, strawberries, citrus | May block nitrosamine formation. May reduce stomach cancer. Helps in preventing blood clotting. |
3-phthalide | Celery, parsley, carrots | May exhibit antihypertensive effects. |
Polyacetylenes | Parsley, celery, carrots | May aid to break down tobacco-generated carcinogens. |
Phenethyl isothiocyanates (PEIPC) | Cabbage, turnips and other cruciferous vegetables | Antioxidant especially good at protecting DNA. Reducing estrogen to the nontoxic metabolite estradiol. |
Phytosterols | Beans | May inhibit some types of colon cancer by mechanism not yet fully understood. Reduces LDL and total cholesterol without affecting HDL or triglycerides. |
Proanthocyanidins[a.k.a. omeric procyanidins (OPC)], procyanidolic oligomers (PCO), anthocyanidins | Grape skins, grape seeds, apples, cranberries, blueberries, French maritime pine bark, peanuts, almonds | May inhibit breast, lung, and stomach cancer in vitro. Also exhibited greater antioxidant protection to brain and liver cells than vitamins C, E, and beta-carotene. Animal studies show apparent promotion of hair growth and inhibited development of atherosclerosis. Can also strengthen collagen by promoting cross-linking and reduced postoperative edema in women following facial cosmetic surgery. |
Resveratrol | Grapes, red wine, peanuts and mulberries | A powerful antioxidant that inhibits LDL oxidation. Is also a natural COX-2 inhibitor that may prevent the growth of cancer cells by reducing angiogenesis. It also induces phase II liver-detoxifying enzymes. |
Sulforaphane | Broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, kale | An isothiocyanate that increases phase II enzyme activity. It also has powerful antioxidant effects, shown in animal studies may reduce breast cancer. It remains active after cooking. |
Terpenoids | Winter squash, sweet potatoes, yams, apricots, cantaloupe, turnips, greens, spinach, kale, carrots, citrus | May aid in reducing arterial plaque formation and quenches multiple species of free radicals. |
Triterpenoids | Citrus, soy, licorice extract | It has antiulcer and anti-dental-decay activity. |
Zeaxanthin | Oranges, bell peppers, orange juice, corn, honeydew, mango, egg yolks, red bell peppers | A carotenoid with antioxidant properties may show to reduce the incidence of age-related macular degeneration and cataract formation by filtering out phototoxic blue light and UV radiation. It is the main pigment in the center of the macula. |
